Sally Kilpatrick

Bio:
|
For Sally Kilpatrick, it all began with a tin recipe box and a proclivity for writing in the closet. While still in elementary school, she talked her mother into buying the recipe box as her own “card catalog” for her stories. Later, she took up writing in the closet as a creative way to get out of housework. Eventually, she left the closet, graduated from the University of Tennessee, married her own Prince Charming and spent eight years teaching Spanish. (Because that’s what you do with an English major) Now she’s a full-time student and even fuller time mother, and she’s about to begin her fifth novel, Beulah Land and the Preacher Man. Her works are primarily southern stories with a touch of the supernatural although she also likes action/adventure and the paranormal. When she’s not writing, Sally can be found reading, traveling, chasing her children, or—on occasion—exercising. Currently, she is finishing her Masters Thesis and working on creative ways to overcome perfectionism so she can submit her work and win GRW’s First Annual Rejection Collection. |
